Porsche Design Partners With Pirelli

Porsche Design Signs on as Official Timing Partner of Pirelli GT3 Cup Trophy USA

Costa Mesa, Calif. - The Pirelli GT3 Cup Trophy USA series announced that Porsche Design will serve as the Official Timing Partner of the racing series.

Porsche Design, a name synonymous with iconic design and timepieces, will present the winners of the series championships with exclusive Porsche Design timepieces.

The timepieces will be presented to the five class winners at the end-of-the-year celebration in Monterey, California, following the season finale. The watches will be engraved on the case back with the driver's name, car number, class name, series logo.

In addition to its iconic timepiece collections, Porsche Design commissions limited watch models through the Custom-Made Timepiece Program, which includes successful examples such as the "Rennsport Reunion V Limited Edition," "ANDIAL Limited Edition," and "911 GTS Club Coupe-60 Years of Porsche Club of America Limited Edition."

All timepieces are engineered and designed by Studio F. A. Porsche in Austria and crafted by Porsche Design Timepieces AG in Switzerland.

This partnership will also focus on branding, with the Porsche Design logo carried prominently at the front and rear of every Porsche GT3 Cup and Porsche Cayman GT4 race car throughout the entire 2017 Pirelli GT3 Cup Trophy USA championship, which is managed by Competent Motorsport.

Porsche Design is also the official timing partner of the Porsche GT works team in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and FIA WEC World Endurance Championship as well as the PCA Club Racing Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport Trophy East series.

Pirelli GT3 Cup Trophy USA will return to racing action on May 19-21 at Sonoma Raceway with Round 2 of the 2017 Championship.
