MISSISSAUGA, ON, April 3, 2017 /CNW/ - Nissan Group today announced monthly Canadian sales of 15,815 units, an increase of 25.5 per cent over last year and the best month in the company's history.

Nissan Division sales increased 26.7 per cent with 14,523 units sold, setting a new all-time sales record.  

For the company's 2016 fiscal year, Nissan Group set an all-time record with 137,773 total Canadian sales, an increase of 3.0 per cent over its 2015 fiscal year.

Nissan Division March highlights:

  • Nissan's best-selling vehicle in Canada - the Nissan Rogue crossover - set an all-time monthly sales record at 4,888 - an increase of 63.3 per cent.
  • The Pathfinder sport utility vehicle set a new all-time sales record at 1,185 units, an increase of 10.4 per cent.
  • Sales of the TITAN full-size pickup truck totaled 722, its best month on record and an increase of 307.9 per cent.
  • The Armada flagship sport utility vehicle set an all-time record with 126 sales, up 72.6 per cent.
  • Sales of the LEAF fully-electric vehicle set a March record at 144, up 46.9 per cent.
  • The Murano crossover set a March record at 1,281, up 0.9 per cent.
  • The NV200 compact cargo van also set an all-time sales record at 305 units, an increase of 35.0 per cent.
  • Nissan Versa Note hatchback finished the month up 63.6 percent, with sales of 1,034.
  • Sales of the Sentra subcompact climbed to 1,750, up 14.1 per cent.

 

Nissan Division 2016 fiscal year highlights:

  • In fiscal year 2016, Nissan Division set an all-time record in Canada 125,659 total sales, an increase of 3.0 per cent over its 2015 fiscal year.
  • Nissan also set fiscal year sales records for Rogue, LEAF, JUKE, Murano, Armada, and NV200.

 

INFINITI March highlights:

  • The refreshed 7-passenger QX60 premium crossover continues to be INFINITI's best-seller with 387 units sold in March.
  • In the seventh full month of sales for the Q60 premium sports coupe, 166 units were sold in March.
  • The new QX30 premium active crossover continues to see sales momentum with 153 units sold, its best month ever.

 

INFINITI 2016 fiscal year highlights:

  • In fiscal year 2016, INFINITI set an all-time record with 12,114 total sales in Canada, an increase of 3.4 per cent.
  • INFINITI set fiscal year sales records for QX60 and QX80.
