Canadian Energy Industry: Updates and Insights

OTTAWA, Feb. 3, 2017 /CNW/ - This year's Canadian Energy Industry: Updates and Insights event will bring together industry leaders from the sectors accounting for well over half of Canada's greenhouse gas emissions: transportation, buildings and industrial sectors. Together they will focus on the policies, new initiatives and unmet needs associated with wrestling their emissions down.
Panel discussions will focus in turn on major energy end-use sectors and their progress and pathways towards a lower carbon future. Panelists will encompass senior executives of leading industry associations, together with senior representatives of relevant government departments and agencies.

Closing Keynote, 4:55 - 5:10 p.m. – Elyse Allan, President & CEO of GE Canada and 2016 Canadian Energy Person of the Year, Personal Thoughts and Reflections on Policies to Optimize the Role of Energy End-Use in Climate Policy.
