MIDDLETOWN, Pa.—Visitors to the first-ever AutoMobili-D at the 2017 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) can get a preview of the high power charging (HPC) system at the Phoenix Contact E-Mobility booth (#24). Phoenix Contact is one of the companies leading the development of the CCS plus standard, which will give electric vehicles a 60-mile charge in just five minutes.
AutoMobili-D runs from January 8 through 12 in the Cobo Center’s Atrium and Planet M Hall. More than 120 companies will showcase the latest innovations in five key mobility areas: Autonomous Driving, Connected Car Technologies, E-Mobility, Mobility Services, and Urban Mobility.

In 2013, Phoenix Contact founded Phoenix Contact E-Mobility GmbH, in Schieder-Schwalenberg, Germany, to address the emerging electric mobility industry. In November 2016, Carioti was named as Director E-Mobility North America. In this role, he directs the company’s e-mobility efforts in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, while cooperating with the Phoenix Contact USA sales subsidiary for local sales and technical support. The e-mobility business is based at Phoenix Contact’s Customer and Technology Center in Ann Arbor, Mich. The 27,000-square-foot building is home to Phoenix Contact’s software development and has a strategic focus on the automotive industry.
