Red Bull Global Rallycross CEO Colin Dyne joined numerous motorsport luminaries this week in Las Vegas to speak at the annual Racing and Performance Forum at this year’s SEMA Show. Flanked by representatives from internationally renowned vehicle manufacturers and racing series, Dyne outlined the series’ present and future, including Red Bull GRC’s electric series set to debut in 2018, under this year’s theme, the “Golden Age of New Performance.”
“SEMA is the most important automotive and aftermarket show of the year, and serves as a perfect location for us to outline the future of Red Bull GRC,” said Dyne. “Red Bull GRC is consistently growing every season, and with the addition of electric vehicles to our events in 2018, we are a perfect example of a series that combines relevant consumer products with high-performance motorsport. We are poised to lead the way into the next era of automotive technology as one of the most unique and innovative racing series in the world.”
Dyne was one of nine panelists to speak at the forum, moderated by John Waraniak, SEMA’s Vice President of Vehicle Technology. Other speakers included representatives from Ford, General Motors, and Toyota Racing Development; sanctioning bodies IMSA, Formula Drift, and RoboRace; the Venturi Formula E team; and veteran NASCAR and Supercross broadcaster Ralph Sheheen.
Further information on the 2017 Red Bull Global Rallycross season, as well as the electric series set to debut in 2018, will be released in the coming months. Visit RedBullGRC.com or follow the series on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram @RedBullGRC for continued updates.
