Schaeffler Awarded Prestigious "Certificate of Merit" and "Preferred Supplier" Status from Hyster-Yale Group

FORT MILL, S.C., Sept. 21, 2016 -- Hyster-Yale Group, the Cleveland, Ohio-based company behind Hyster® and Yale® lift trucks, two of the most respected names in the materials handling industry, honored Schaeffler for its outstanding quality and on-time delivery performance in 2015. Schaeffler was awarded the prestigious Hyster-Yale Group "Certificate of Merit" and designated as a "Preferred Supplier" in recognition of its exceptional service and commitment.

In order for a supplier to receive the "Certificate of Merit" with respect to delivery quality, at least 98.99% of parts must be supplied on time. Schaeffler consistently surpassed that threshold throughout the year. Schaeffler also delivered 100% defect-free parts to four different North American Hyster-Yale manufacturing locations in 2015. Consequently, Schaeffler's outstanding performance with respect to quality, responsiveness, product development and cost also earned it the sought-after designation as a "Preferred Supplier."

Schaeffler supplies a variety of precision bearings to Hyster-Yale Group, including deep groove ball bearings, cylindrical roller bearings, tapered roller bearings, plain bearings and needle roller bearings. Schaeffler bearings are used in the transmissions, axles, steering mechanisms and fork articulation points in a range of Hyster® and Yale® models. As one of the world's leading rolling bearing manufacturers and a development partner to the lift truck industry, Schaeffler has decades of experience engineering and manufacturing bearing arrangements for the challenging conditions under which these vehicles operate.
