Hyundai Welcomes Home The Los Angeles Rams By Signing On As An Official Automotive Sponsor

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Sept. 13, 2016 -- After 21 years of waiting, Los Angeles football fans opened the 2016 NFL season with a team of their own this past Monday night. Hyundai, which has called Southern California home since its arrival to the U.S. 30 years ago, is celebrating the return of the Los Angeles Rams to Southern California by becoming an official sponsor of the franchise. The Los Angeles Rams are the newest addition to Hyundai's NFL team sponsorship lineup that includes the Arizona Cardinals, Houston Texans, Minnesota Vikings, Pittsburgh Steelers and Miami Dolphins, along with official car and SUV designations of the league.

"Being based in Southern California, Hyundai shares the excitement with the community and NFL fans as the Rams open their first season back in Los Angeles," said Trea Reedy, senior group manager, Experiential Marketing, Hyundai Motor America. "As an official NFL sponsor we are ecstatic to align our brand with the energy and excitement of the NFL's return to the country's second largest market."

The automaker will have a display inside the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum near the entrance to the Hyundai branded peristyle and field level suites and an interactive activation outside the stadium. Hyundai also will advertise on the Coach Fisher Show that will air every Saturday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. PT on KCBS, and will run advertisements on both the Rams English and Spanish gameday radio broadcasts for home and away games.

To round off the sponsorship with the team, Hyundai also will serve as the presenting sponsor of digital video series, "Under the Lights" and an infographic series on the Rams social media accounts.

"We are excited to partner with Hyundai to enhance the fan experience," said Mike O'Keefe, Rams vice president of corporate partnerships.  "As we kick off our inaugural season back home in Los Angeles, we look forward to working with the team at Hyundai to engage our fans and their customers through unique content and activations all season long."
