National Car Rental Celebrates a Decade of "Rent Rent Reward"
Annual Promotion Allows Emerald Club Members to Earn Free Days* by Renting Vehicles, Participating in Bonus Activities
TORONTO, Aug. 25, 2016 /CNW/ - Today, National Car Rental celebrates a decade of offering its annual "Rent Rent Reward" promotion to Canadians. National Car Rental, through its award-winning Emerald Club, allows members who register for the promotion to earn one free rental day* for every two qualifying rentals. Each qualifying car rental completed during the promotion is worth 300 points, with a free day awarded once an Emerald Club member earns 600 points. Now in its tenth year, the "Rent Rent Reward" promotion begins today and points can be collected until January 31, 2017, and redeemed up until June 15, 2017.
"This year marks a milestone for National Car Rental and the 'Rent Rent Reward' promotion," said Rob Connors, vice president of brand marketing for National. "Today we celebrate ten years of offering this program to Canadians, and we are thrilled to do so year after year. This is our opportunity to provide Emerald Club members with additional opportunities to earn free days in appreciation for their loyalty."
As part of the promotion, additional bonus points can also be earned through both rental and non-rental activities, including:
- Renting a midsize or larger vehicle through National's mobile app (75 points per completed rental, with no limit on rentals).
- Taking part in the Emerald Reserve Service, which assists those members who require a specific car class, such as a SUV, minivan, convertible, etc. at an Emerald Aisle location (one-time bonus of 25 points with the completion of a rental).
- Renting any size vehicle in Latin American and the Caribbean (one-time bonus of 300 points with the completion of a rental).
- Renting any size vehicle in Europe (one-time bonus of 300 points with the completion of a rental).
- Completion of a survey during your experience with National (one-time bonus of 50 points with the completion of a car rental).
New members can join National's Emerald Club at www.emeraldclub.ca/rent and immediately take part in this annual promotion. There is no cost to join and members will receive additional benefits, including: expedited service at airports and free upgrades in National's "Emerald Aisle", an exclusive section of the lot where members can select any vehicle as long as they reserve a mid-sized or larger car. In addition, Emerald Club members can choose to receive EmeraldAlertsSM – emailed communications that include Arrival and Return Alerts, and Drop & GoSM service with convenient eReceipts.
Current Emerald Club members can register for the promotion at www.emeraldclub.ca/rent. Free days earned for qualifying rentals through "Rent Rent Reward" are awarded in addition to a member's chosen rewards earnings (frequent traveller miles/points or rental credits).
Emerald Club members may track and redeem the free rental days they earn through "Rent Rent Reward" between today and June 15, 2017, by visiting www.emeraldclub.ca/rent. Up to three free days can be redeemed per rental at any time, including weekends. In keeping with the speed and convenience of the Emerald Club rental experience, National promptly notifies participants about their free rental days via email.
