Aceable Drivers Ed Sponsors Texas High School Dance Team Competition

AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 16, 2016 -- Aceable, the education software company that created the first-ever state-approved mobile app for drivers ed, announced today that it would sponsor a vote-based tournament among 64 high school dance teams in Texas. Starting today, anyone can cast their vote for who should advance in the competition and be crowned "Aceable's Best Dance Squad," which carries with it a grand prize of $500, free drivers ed for anyone on the team who needs it and a $100 spa gift card for the dance team director.

The 64 Texas drill teams selected to be part of the tournament were chosen by Aceable based on performances in regional and national dance competitions and overall presence at their respective high schools. Teams were then randomly seeded and placed into a bracket with six total rounds. Beginning Aug. 16, voters will have the opportunity to say which teams should advance in the first round and which should be eliminated. The first round of voting will end Aug. 20, at which point Aceable will announce winners along with the start date for the next round of voting.

Aceable, a top online drivers ed provider for many Texas teenagers and their families, has sponsored fun competitions for high school students before. "We thought a tournament among high school dance and drill teams would be especially fun in the wake of football season and with school pride being at its peak," said contest coordinator Avery Shackelford. In the past, Aceable has sponsored contests for its students like "Win Dad a YETI Cooler" for Father's Day and "Best Halloween Costume."
