The familiar yellow and black trucks were very competitive as both of the Kleiman brothers had podium aspirations only to just miss out on the spotlight. The time at the new facility will only help the team when the TORC series makes its next stop in Bark River. ERX Motor Park has been host to other types of motorsports events, but the last weekend saw the TORC series debut on the .9-mile purpose built short course track. The race facility is truly one of the best in the country and the ERX short-course track keeps drivers on top of their game and spectators on their feet during every race. The weekend of racing for Kleiman Off-Road Racing was very different for each driver. Cody was back in the seat of his familiar #48 truck for the first time this season. The truck was nearly destroyed in a preseason practice incident just days before the Route 66 event in June. Since then he has driven the team's back-up truck. In just one month's time the chassis was reconstructed and ready to race at Elk River. The weekend was more about getting comfortable in the truck and working on chassis set-ups. The next result saw the black #48 Ponsse Cooper Tire PRO-Light finish the weekend in tenth place on Saturday and eighth place on Sunday. Meanwhile Kyle was behind the wheel of the #42 Ponsse Ironhorse Loggers Cooper Tire PRO-Light looking for another top finish. Both days it seemed like Kyle was a "yoyo" in the field of thirteen trucks. The hectic pace of the races saw the yellow #42 move up and down the running order. Ultimately finishing fifth on Saturday and just missing the podium with a fourth place finish on Sunday. Afterwards both drivers looked back on the weekend. "It was great to get back in my regular truck," noted Cody Kleiman. "I have to thank everyone involved in the reconstruction of the race truck. We still have to sort things out a bit, but we made great progress this weekend. The Cooper Tires really worked well in the track's sand section. I know we will be coming out swinging at our home track in Bark River." "The battles on the track were pretty tight at times," commented Kyle Kleiman. "Getting in the wrong spot at the wrong time moved you back a place or two, but I kept digging and had a solid weekend. Ideally getting on the podium was the goal, but I know we will get back on the box in Bark River."
