Enterprise Holdings' Pam Nicholson Among 50 Highest Rated CEOs

ST. LOUIS, June 8, 2016 -- Enterprise Holdings Inc. President and Chief Executive Officer Pam Nicholson has been awarded Glassdoor's Highest Rated CEO recognition for 2016. Glassdoor, the world's most transparent jobs and recruiting marketplace, released its annual report yesterday, highlighting the highest rated CEOs and recognizing top leaders throughout North America and parts of Europe.

Among CEOs at large U.S. companies, Nicholson received an impressive 94 percent approval rating based on anonymous and voluntary reviews Enterprise Holdings employees shared on Glassdoor throughout the past year. She ranked No. 31 out of 50.

"Pam has been inspiring her teammates to succeed since she joined the company as a Management Trainee 34 years ago, so it's no surprise that employees overwhelmingly appreciate her leadership and performance," said Carolyn Eiseman, Director of Employer Brand for Enterprise Holdings Inc., which owns the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands. "Social engagement is a critical component of our identity as an employer, and Pam's recognition reaffirms the importance of connecting with current and future employees in the digital space."

Nicholson not only is the highest-ranking woman at Enterprise Holdings, but also in the car rental industry and in the broader travel industry. In addition, she has been ranked among the 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry by Automotive News.

Nicholson also has been ranked as one of Fortune magazine's Most Powerful Women in Business (MPW) for the past nine years. Last fall, Nicholson authored a blog for Fortune as one of the 2015 MPW honorees, noting "one of the biggest leadership lessons I personally learned along the way is that companies rarely get credit for mistakes that don't happen and problems that are sidestepped … In other words, what doesn't happen can often be just as important as what does – and that is as true for our company today as it was when I was a new trainee more than 30 years ago."

Nicholson leads the company's international network of more than 9,000 fully staffed neighborhood and airport locations in more than 80 countries. In 2015, Nicholson led Enterprise Holdings' expansion both domestically and internationally, achieving double-digit growth across multiple business lines and boosting the company's revenue more than 8 percent to $19.4 billion. Enterprise Holdings accounts for the largest airport market share in the U.S., and its domestic rental fleet also is one of the newest in the industry.

Today, Enterprise Holdings employs more than 93,000 people worldwide. In 2016, the company expects its entry-level hiring to increase 5 percent over last year – to nearly 9,000. In fact, CollegeGrad.com recently ranked Enterprise the No. 1 Entry-Level Employer of college graduates and a Top Intern Employer for 2016.

"Inspiring and motivating an entire workforce is an overwhelming, yet imperative, undertaking," said Glassdoor CEO and Co-founder, Robert Hohman. "The CEOs on this list have earned the approval and respect of their employees, evidenced by the feedback shared on Glassdoor. This list celebrates that achievement and challenges all CEOs to aim to do the same."
