Lear Corporation Recognized by Ford Motor Company as Supplier Diversity Development Corporation of the Year

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., May 23, 2016 -- Lear Corporation [NYSE: LEA], a leading global supplier of automotive seating and electrical systems, today announced that it was recognized by Ford Motor Company as Supplier Diversity Development Corporation of the Year for 2015.

Lear received the award from Ford at their 18th annual World Excellence Awards ceremony held in Dearborn, Michigan.  These awards were presented to Ford suppliers who exceed company expectations and distinguish themselves from their peers by achieving the highest levels of global excellence in 11 categories.

The Supplier Diversity Development Corporation of the Year Award honors the supplier that has excelled in integrating diversity into their organization and business process.  "Our World Excellence Awards allow us to recognize suppliers who demonstrate a strong commitment to quality, performance and teamwork," said Hau Thai-Tang, Ford group vice president, global purchasing. "These award-winning companies, like Lear, have helped Ford deliver a breakthrough year, and we are thankful they are part of our One Ford team."
