China Yuchai Engines Used in Nanning & Hangzhou's New Municipal Buses

- GYMCL Provides First EURO V Compliant Natural Gas Engines For Hangzhou Public Buses -

SINGAPORE--Oct. 12, 2012: China Yuchai International Limited ("China Yuchai" or the "Company"), announced today that the Nanning Public Transport Corporation has accepted the YC6G270 diesel engines supplied by the Company's main operating subsidiary, Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Company Limited ("GYMCL") for use in 100 of its new buses. These double-decker buses manufactured by Xiamen Golden Dragon Co., Ltd. were put into operation prior to the China-ASEAN Expo 2012 and the Nanning International Folk Song Arts Festival in September and October 2012 respectively.

In addition, GYMCL's Euro V-compliant YC6L240N natural gas engines have been used by the Hangzhou Public Transport Corporation in 33 new buses during China's National Day holidays in October in the Xihu district of Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. This is the first batch of Euro V-compliant natural gas engines being used in Hangzhou's public transport and in the entire Zhejiang province.

The YC6G270 diesel engine is a turbo-charged, 6-cylinder engine with a displacement of 7.8 liters and it is especially well suited for large buses. The YC6L240N natural gas engine is a 6-cylinder engine with a displacement of 8.4 liters which generates low emissions.
