Kyle, Feb. 28, 2012: Welcome back to Stock Car Racing at Thunderhill Raceway!

Join us for our 2012 Season Opener this weekend - on Friday, March 2, and Saturday, March 3.

Grandstand gates open at 5:00P on Saturday, March 3.

Friday Night's Open Test-n-Tune

March 2 6:00P - 11:00P

Friday's Open Test-n-Tune is scheduled for 6:00P-11:00P. All race vehicles must have a 2012 safety inspection prior to entering the track.

Bailey's Burgers will also be offering their Friday Steak Night Dinner from 7:30P-10:00P in the Grandstand concession area (more information to follow).

Saturday's Pit/Garage Activities

Pit Gate opens at 9:00A

All Garage and Tech Operations will be open at 9:00A on Saturday. However, anyone with a two-day pit pass may come and go at any time throughout the weekend.

Drivers, please make sure you sign in at the Drivers' Lounge in the Garage by 3:00P on Saturday!

Three Organized Test-n-Tune sessions are scheduled for each division, starting at 10:45A. Alternating drivers' meetings will be held during the practice sessions.

Saturday's Lineups, Best Appearing Car Contest, Meet the Drivers, Opening Ceremonies and Main Events

March 3 Starts at 5:30P

Since it's Opening Night, no qualifying or heat races will be held. All lineups will be determined by Driver chip draws.

The Best Appearing Contest and Meet the Drivers autograph session with the fans are scheduled on the front straightaway at 5:30P . . . mandatory for all drivers!

Opening ceremonies are scheduled to start at 6:30P, followed by Main Events for all divisions.

Cooler BYOB!

An exciting change at THR this year will be the introduction of "Bring Your Own Booze." Fans will be allowed to bring alcoholic (only) beverages into the GRANDSTANDS in their own coolers (standard convenience store size) and paying a $5 charge at the grandstand admission gates. No glass bottles will be allowed, and setups will be available at Bailey's Burgers. Various vendors will also offer food for purchase at the track.

Overnight Camping

Overnight camping throughout the weekend is encouraged and is FREE (no hookups available)!
