BRISTOL, August 27, 2011: Carl Edwards overcame an early race pit-road speeding penalty to lead the Roush Fenway ‘Fastenal Fast Fleet' in the Nationwide Series at Bristol Motor Speedway with a fourth-place finish. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. finished 11th, preserving his NNS points lead by five markers. Trevor Bayne finished 13th in the race, after running as high as third at his ‘home’ track.

“We had three Fastenal Fords out here tonight, so we really have to thank them,” said Edwards. “We had a really fast race car. I sped on pit road and we went back to the back. We got all the way back up there (in the front) and thought we really had a shot at the end. We really wanted the win for Fastenal, but it was a fun race and I learned a lot for tomorrow night (Sprint Cup race).

“Overall it was a really good night,” added Edwards. “But we really wanted to win the race.”
