Team Manager Mitch Davis on Mid-Ohio: “Service Central Chip Ganassi Racing had a great test with Graham at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on July 28. We worked closely with our Target Chip Ganassi Racing teammates Dario Franchitti and Scott Dixon and were three of the fastest cars there. The No. 38 Service Central car has been running really well this season and knocking on the door of a race win. We’re looking forward to another solid finish this weekend and moving up in the points championship.”

History at Mid-Ohio: Rahal has three career starts at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course with an average starting position of 14.3 and average finishing position of 14.6. His best result of eighth came in 2009.

Rahal on Mid-Ohio: “I’m really excited to get going at the Mid Ohio Sports Car Course. It’s such a fantastic track and has a lot of history with our family. I think the Service Central team is going to have a really good chance to have a great run this weekend. We tested here on July 28th and we improved the No. 38 Service Central car quite a lot, which I think is going to work to our advantage. It’s a big weekend for NTB and Service Central, so I hope we can make everyone proud and have a great result.”

Mid-Ohio Test: During the off week, Service Central Chip Ganassi Racing visited Mid-Ohio for a test session along with 21 other drivers on Thursday, July 28. Rahal posted the second-fastest lap of the session with a best time of 68.91 seconds.

Hometown Hero: The Honda Indy 200 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course is a hometown race for Rahal. He will have over 50 friends and family members watching as he competes on the 2.258-mile course on Sunday, August 7.

Rahal Helmet Tradition: In 2009, Graham’s helmet reflected his father, Bobby Rahal’s, helmet design for the IZOD IndyCar Series race at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. The tradition continues as Graham will don the same artwork this year to represent the family history at his hometown track.

In the Points: Rahal holds eighth-place in the IZOD IndyCar Series points standings, 170 markers behind overall leader Dario Franchitti.
