Knockhill, July 23, 2011: The Scottish SpeedFair & Classic Festival returns to Knockhill for the sixth time on Sunday 31 July. The popular event continues to grow year-on-year and 2011 will see some exceptional entertainment on offer.

Alongside 250 show cars from yesteryear, there will be a comprehensive classic competition schedule, featuring racing, rallying, and autotests. In addition, the Fife circuit will host E-Type Jaguar 50-year Celebrations, the Starduster Too aerobatic display, the Aston Martin Owners' Gathering and the inaugural running of the David Leslie Trophy for Formula Ford competitors.

Topping the bill at Knockhill will be the Scottish Classic Sports & Saloon races. Classic Racing in Scotland is undergoing a revival, with bumper entries for the 2011 Classic Championship organised by the Scottish Motor Racing Club.

Such is the level of interest, there will be four classic races and a two-driver, 30-lap classic endurance race at SpeedFair. More than 50 competitors will take to the Knockhill asphalt in models ranging from a Porsche 911 to an immaculate Mk1 Ford Escort.

Stuart Gray, Knockhill Events Director, commented: "Wherever you look at SpeedFair, there will be tremendous action for everyone. Some of the classic cars on show are nothing short of sensational.

"We'll have cars from the 1920s through to the 1970s on display, including a 1950 Bentley Brooklands.

"The classic racing element of the event should be fantastic, too. The classic scene in Scotland really is on the up and running the David Leslie Trophy will be a special moment for the Circuit."

Track action starts at 10am on Sunday 31 July, with adult admission priced at £15; concessions are £8 and kids under 12 go absolutely FREE. Tickets can be purchased via the Knockhill website (www.knockhill.com), where advance booking discounts are available.
