Harrision Township, June 17, 2011: Michigan International Speedway President Roger Curtis took a dive this week with Army Staff Sgt. Aaron Figel, a member of the Army Golden Knights tandem jump team. The skydive over Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Harrison Township, Mich., was from 13,500 feet with a freefall reaching 120 mph. “It was indescribable. I was on sensory overload so I need another jump to truly appreciate what I was doing,” Curtis said. It was Curtis’ first time skydiving.
