TRAXXAS TORC News - Mike Vanden Heuvel to drive 77 Pro 2wd F TRAXXAS TORC Series

Appleton, May 16, 2011: In 2010, Mike Vanden Heuvel more than proved himself a worthy opponent, winning the Limited 2WD Championship his first year ever in a truck. If that wasn't enough, he also captured more wins and more points than anyone else in TORC, as well as earning the 2010 Sportsman Driver of the Year Award. All this success on the track led to the team's decision to put Mike behind the wheel of the Pro 2 for this season.

With the support and guidance of his champion father, Dan Vanden Huevel Sr., Mike will fill some big shoes and debut his skills in the truck his father made famous amongst the Off Road world. Dan will sit out the 2011 season after 33 years of off road racing, snapping one of the longest streaks in the sport.
