JUPITER, March 9, 2011: The third installment of the 2011 Midnight Madness at Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR) is scheduled to hit the track this Friday, March 11, from 6pm-1am.

In a two-fold event, test and tuners take to PBIR’s quarter-mile drag strip in the weekly head-to-head grudge match. While amateur and pro drifters help transform PBIR’s road course into a drifting circuit.

Drag racers looking for the ultimate challenge can participate in the ‘Beat the Heat’ segment of the test and tune. Bring your favorite street machine to PBIR and challenge a police officer in the ‘Beat the Heat’ Challenge. The program is dedicated to keep racing on the strip and off the streets.

Drifting for the March Midnight Madness event includes courses for the amateur and pro drifter. Palm Beach International Raceway will open the full road course for the drifters looking for a bigger challenge, while the amateur drifters can showcase and develop their skills in turns 10 and 11.

In addition to the on-track action of drag racing and drifting, race fans can drift their way through PBIR’s midway to the tunes of a live DJ, partake in the Gamblers Race or watch the contestants strut their stuff in a hot body contest.

Participant prices for March 11 Midnight Madness are: Test and Tune - $25; Amateur Driving - $50; Expert Drifting (full road course) - $150. Spectator and crew prices for Midnight Madness are $10 and children 12 and under are free.
