Oil Prices Hit $90, again - A Commitment to Eliminate Gasoline Can End This Nonsense

NEW YORK - December 7, 2010: For the first time in two years oil prices moved above $90 a barrel. Wall Street 'analysts' say tightening supplies will eventually send prices above the $100 mark next year.

The recent surge in oil pushed gasoline and other fuel prices higher as well. Average heating oil and diesel prices are expected to increase year-over-year for the first time since 2008, and gasoline prices may hit a national average of $3 per gallon before Christmas day. In some parts of the country, like California, gasoline prices have been well over $3 per gallon for some time.

There is an alternative to being held-up by the oil producers, gasoline refiners, and international despots-murderers: It's called "alternative fuels." There's CNG, propane and the best of all, ethanol. They are cheaper, abundant, domestically produced, and available NOW. All that we need to turn these fuels from being "alternative" to "conventional" is the national will to make it happen - oh yeah, and pressure on state and federal politicians to stop taking bribes from the oil-gasoline industry.

So, it's up to you, people; you want to pay $4, $5, $6 and more per gallon of gasoline and diesel while being treated to new rounds of terrorism, or would you like to save money and live a bit safer? Pretend you actually have children and grandchildren who you would like to protect, maybe that will help you decide.
