Saudi Arabia is the Largest Contributor to Worldwide Terrorism - Yeah, Let's Just Keep Buying Their Oil

Here's the deal: If you don't want to be blown up the next time you fly then you should take the explosives and motivation away from the terrorists

There's a lot of commotion about Wikileaks' latest unveiling of sensitive and secret government information. We keep hearing how the information reveals details that could be or are embarrassing to various people and countries.

The problem is, while the person(s) in the U.S. government responsible for sending the government documents to Wikileaks should probably be tried and executed as a traitor, perhaps the person(s) should also be first awarded a medal for bringing the information to our attention.

Really, the amazing thing about the information is that it probably is embarrassing, but it's embarrassing to people who should be embarrassed for the way that they conduct themselves. If Prince William or Andrew or Charlie McCarthy is embarrassed for their behavior, then they should knock off the bad behavior. If Chinese leaders are upset because they don't like the nasty things said about them on the Internet it's too bad: They stink, we all know it, and there's no reason to pretend otherwise. At some point the Chinese people (and the Cubans, and the North Koreans, and the Venezuelans) should rise up and fete their respective tyrants at a good ol’ Mussolini lamp post party.

Then there's the issue set forth in the headline above. We all know that the Middle East oil producers are the biggest sponsors of global terrorism. We’ve known it for some time because it's talked about on all the news shows. But the important point is that we can now see U.S. government documents that openly state that the Saudis (the largest oil producers) are the number one sponsor of terrorism.

How are they able to be the number one sponsor of terrorism? Because they get billions - no trillions of dollars, pounds, euros, and yen - for their petroleum oil.

If we stopped buying their oil, and bitch-slapped the market for petroleum oil by eliminating the great demand for the stuff, we would cut their ability to fund terrorism and remove oil and gasoline as a strategic weapon. Unfortunately, instead of our leaders – and the leaders of the other countries we generally deem as being like-minded – taking the action necessary to destroy the terrorist funding and addiction to a fuel source we don’t need, they just keep sucking up the financial inducements given them by the oil/gasoline lobby.

So, when you’re ready to board an airplane without worrying that someone is going to set their underwear on fire; when you’re ready to enter a tall building without fear that you’ll have to jump out of a 50-story high window; when you’re ready to insist that we start living a more normal kind of life; maybe you’ll call your state and federal representative and demand that they get off the gasoline gravy train.

One other thing; if you’re wondering what we can use immediately instead of gasoline as our primary engine-fuel, the solution is called “ETHANOL.” It’s cheap, less polluting, and domestically produced.
