KYLE, October 24, 2010: Paul Hogan and Sarah Platt, Los Angeles-based producers, are planning to return to Kyle, Texas, and to Thunderhill Raceway at the beginning of next season to begin shooting their unscripted television series.

“The staff and drivers at Thunderhill have been so welcoming and friendly up to this point, and we’re thrilled to be heading back,” said Hogan. The producing duo plans to focus on the TSRS Late Model, Pro Modified and Super Stock racing series.

“We can’t wait to get to know some of the drivers at Thunderhill better. We love the degree to which competitors help each other out in the pits and then suddenly switch to no-friends-on-the-track-mode so quickly,” quipped Platt. Hogan and Platt are currently talking with various networks and hope to be out in Texas for pre-production in early 2011.

Thunderhill Raceway came under consideration for this series this past August, when Hogan and Platt spent several days at the track to determine if Thunderhill Raceway was a good match for their TV series.

Mary Ann Naumann, Thunderhill Raceway’s Owner/Promoter, is thrilled about the production of this TV series.

“When Paul and Sarah visited our track earlier this year, we immediately felt a great connection with these folks,” commented Naumann. “They were both as excited as we were about the potential for a TV series being produced at Thunderhill Raceway. This series will certainly be a positive boost for both the Kyle community and stock car racing in South Texas.”

“Prior to visiting our track, Sarah had done some internet research on potential tracks for the series,” added Naumann. “Sarah said she had read about my background and my desire to make Thunderhill Raceway a family-oriented facility. After visiting the track, both of the producers immediately noticed the camaraderie among the teams and felt the family-friendly atmosphere in both the pits and grandstands.”

Although the 2010 racing season had already come to a close, plans are currently underway for the 2011 season.

Thunderhill Raceway is a 3/8-mile, D-shaped asphalt oval track that’s located at 24801 IH-35, on the access road just south of Kyle (TX) near Yarrington Road (Exit #210). Information on Thunderhill Raceway may be found on the track website at www.thunderhillraceway.com.
