Stout Declared VIR Race 2 World Challenge Touring Car Winner

TOPEKA, Oct. 3, 2010: World Challenge Touring Car Champion elect Robert Stout, of Brownsburg, Ind., was declared the winner of the Round 11 race from VIRginia International Raceway following the post-race technical inspection disqualification of provisional winner Todd Buras.

Buras’ Volkswagen Jetta GLI was found to have a non-compliant turbocharger.

The win for Stout was his fourth on the season in the No. 18 DG-Spec/Scion/TRD/Lucas Oil Scion tC. Stout, a rookie in World Challenge competition, clinched the Drivers’ Championship one Round early at VIR.

The World Challenge GT, GTS and Touring Car Championships complete their seasons Oct. 3 at Miller Motorsports Park with the Toyo Tires Utah Grand Prix Presented by Bondurant.
