Here is a look at what is happening. ASA SERIES ASA MIDWEST TOUR (Super Late Models, Sportsman, Trucks) (Dells Raceway Park, Wisconsin Dells, WI) Race fans in the Midwest will be in for a treat this Saturday night as all three of ASA Midwest Tour's divisions will be in action on the same night at Dells Raceway Park, an ASA Member Track. The Super Late Models will be competing in the Wisconsin Dells 100. The Sportsman will compete in a 35-lap feature and the Trucks will have a 40-lap main event. www.asamidwesttour.com ASA MEMBER TRACKS ACE SPEEDWAY (Elon, NC) Start the weekend off with the hot racing action at Ace. The Late Models, Modifieds, Limiteds, and Extremes will be in action. Grandstands open at 6 p.m. with racing at 8 p.m. www.acespeedway.com BIG COUNTRY SPEEDWAY (Cheyenne, WY) It will be a busy weekend at Wyoming's popular asphalt oval. On Friday, they will host a Monster Truck Show. Gates open at 5 p.m. $20 for adults and $15 for kids. On Saturday, it's a regular program with Late Models, Grand American Mods, Sportsman, Micro Sprints, Mod Coupes, Legends, and High Plains Mods. Racing gets underway at 6 p.m. www.bigcountryspeedway.com CORPUS CHRISTI SPEEDWAY (Corpus Christi, TX) A full racing program is on tap this Saturday night. The Bombers, Front Runners, Sport Mods, Super Street, and Texas Thunder will all be in action. The DRP Bandits are also competing. The Late Models, Grand American Modifieds, Hornets, and Mini Sprints will also be in action. www.i25speedway.com ILLIANA MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Schererville, IN) The Illiana motor Speedway will turn back the clock this Sat. nite Aug 14 as it presents The 2nd Annual Gas City Vintage Invitational and welcomes Past Champions, retired Drivers, Car owners, and racing officials from "The Golden age of Racing" to the speedway for a night of nostalgia, great stories and lots of fun. The Vintage cars, replicas of famous 50`s, 60`s and 70`s stockcars will compete on the historic ˝ mile track. A full program of stock car competition is scheduled for the track's half-mile and quarter-mile ovals. Grandstands open at 5:00 p.m. with racing at 7:30 p.m. The SCCA Autocross will be at the track on Sunday. www.norwayspeedway.com ORANGE SHOW SPEEDWAY (San Bernardino, CA) The battle for the Super Late Model championship at Orange Show Speedway has become a two-driver contest with four races to go and just six points separating leader David Ross and reigning champion Mark Shackleford after eight events at the ASA Member Track. They'll continue their rivalry Saturday (Aug. 14) night in a 50-lap main event that will close a program featuring the Team Too Pony Stocks, Dwarf Cars and USAC Ford Focus Midgets and Jr. Focus Midgets. Competitors will enter the pits through Gate 11 for the balance of the season. That gate will open at 1 p.m. and practice will get under way at approximately 2:30 p.m. this week, but beginning Aug. 21 the gate will open at 2 p.m. with practice at 3:30. Gates open at 4 p.m., qualifying begins at 5 p.m. and racing begins at 6 p.m. Adults are $20 and youth (5-12) are $15 on Saturday and $10 on Sunday. www.rmrracing.com SHANGRI LA II MOTOR SPEEDWAY (Tioga Center, NY) Shangri-La II Motor Speedway and its fans pay tribute to the greatest modified driver of them all, the Rapid Roman, a nine-time national champion and a three-time champion of the original Shangri-La, with a 61-lap feature event. The ASA Late Models will go 30 laps, the Sportsman Modifieds 25 laps, and the Street Stocks 20 laps.
