MATT KENSETH - No. 17 Kraft/Ritz Ford Fusion - YOU POSTED THE FASTEST ROUSH FENWAY TIME. "Well, we should have been, we were the only one that had to make it on time. You can always give up a little bit of your handling and your race stuff to qualify faster and I think we did that but not too much. We knew we had to make it by time, so we had to try to get a little more speed in it."

GREG BIFFLE - No. 16 CitiFinancial Ford Fusion - "It was okay. Not as much speed as we wanted to have. But it's tough. We've got to race against some cars that run that speed on their first lap, let alone us running that speed on our second lap. That makes it difficult to make up that margin on the race track. I think it's as good as our car is. We're pretty happy with that time." WAS YOUR FOCUS ON THE RACE EFFORT? "You can't really work too much on qualifying because you've got to race the car. There are a few things that you can do, but everybody is pretty much all the same when the qualifying. We know whatever lap time that is, that will be the time on the race track."

CARL EDWARDS - No. 60 Scotts Ford Fusion - THE CREW DID A GREAT JOB FIXING THE RIGHT SIDE. "Yeah, they did do a really good job. Hopefully it's a fun race." IT LOOKS LIKE THE ROUSH FENWAY CARS HAVE VERY CLOSE TIMES. "Yes, we all work really well together. I think you can tell from the speeds that we share the best information that we can with each other."

BRAD COLEMAN - No 27 Kroger/Cottonelle Ford Fusion - "We're here to race and the way racing is here at Daytona, you can start up front but sometime during the race, you're going to be in the back. We have a really good race car and I'm really about driving these 181 Kroger employees around the track as fast as I can go and give them the ride of their life. I'm excited about the race tomorrow."

DAVID RAGAN - No. 6 Discount Tire Ford Fusion - "We had an average lap. It would have been fun to sit on the pole or in the first couple of rows. But if you don't qualify on the pole and whether your fifth or 15th, it really doesn't matter 15 or 20 laps into the race. I think we have a pretty good race car. Our entire Discount Tire Ford team has worked hard to have a fast car during the race and not necessarily qualifying. So, we'll take it and see what happens on Saturday." TALK ABOUT HAVING A FASTER SECOND LAP. "Yeah, we all cool off our engines and we pull back our brakes just do everything for qualifying. you see the temperature is probably a little cooler than it will be for race day. That's why you see a little bit of a pick-up and that's a characteristic of the race track here at Daytona."

KELLY BIRES - No. 47 Clorox Ford Fusion - "We didn't focus on qualifying. If we get a top 20 or 25 starting spot, it doesn't matter. It's a matter of the car driving well and we know it will drive good in the draft. I'm really happy with the car and looking forward to the race."

MARCOS AMBROSE - No. 59 Kingsford Hickory Charcoal Ford Fusion - "We're really confident and really happy with our car in race trim. We knew that our car wasn't going to be able to run for the pole here. We're really pleased with our drafting practice yesterday and we're confident that we'll have a solid day."

BOBBY HAMILTON JR. - No. 25 Smithfield Ford Fusion - (qualified "We wanted to be in the back and we didn't even tape it up. The whole time we've been down here, we never made a qualifying run. We've just been in race trim. We'll come out of here [qualifying] whether we're 22nd or 35th, or wherever we end up that we're on schedule. We're on plan. You've got to be there at the end to get the points and the money. Having a wrecked race car in the middle of the race won't get you there. Even if I would have gotten the pole, we would have been the first ones to the back. This qualifying doesn't mean anything to us here and it doesn't have to. We'll suffer on pit road a bit, but this Daytona, you can draft by when you need to. We're right on plan where we want to be."
