Jaguar XJ8L Goes On Sale at US$170,666 in China

SHANGHAI - September 25, 2007:

Jaguar's new XJL sedans go on sale in China today, joining the competition in the country's rapidly expanding luxury car market, according to statement from Jaguar China.

The lengthened edition of Jaguar XJ8L and Jaguar XJ6L will be sold at 1.28 million yuan ($170,666) and 868,000 yuan ($115,900), respectively, in the Chinese market.

The four-door Jaguar XJ8L is powered by a 4.4L V8 engine, which can generate a maximum speed of 250 kilometer per hour and accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds. The Jaguar XJ6L is powered by a 3.0L V6 engine.

Earlier report said that the British luxury sedan maker sold a total of 458 units in the first half of this year in China through imports.
