Mitsubishi to Introduce 9th-Gen Lancer to China - VIDEO ENHANCED

SHANGHAI - August 14, 2007: Mitsubishi Motors' 9th-Gen Lancer displayed at U.S. Auto Shows earlier this year will be introduced to China and produced locally in China, the company said recently.

"Southeast Motors will definitely produce this model locally here, "a Southeast Motors official said.

Southeast Motors is a partner of Mitsubishi in China. The two parties started cooperation last year. However, the sale of the joint venture is not as good as expected.

Meanwhile, Southeast Motors will introduce a compact car COLT PLUS and a MPV model ZINGER.

COLT PLUS is expected to be priced at about 80,000 yuan ($10,564.56), and Lancer is sold at a price of 89,000 yuan ($11, 753.073).
