Porsche Cars North America Reports May Sales for Canada

ATLANTA--Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA), importer and distributor of Porsche sports cars and Cayenne SUVs in the United States and Canada, today announced May sales of 252, 6 percent less than the previous May sales of 269, but a 9 percent increase over last month's sales. Comparable month-to-month increases since January show a steady rise in 2007 sales within the Canadian market.

Total 911 sales of 93 were up 18 percent compared with 79 in the same month last year, setting another 911 record month. For the first five months, sales of Porsche’s iconic sports car are up 8 percent over 2006.

May also showed continuing demand for the new 2008 Cayenne, which enjoyed a sales increase of 11 percent. The company sold a total of 79 new Cayennes compared to 71 the same time last year. Year-to-date sales are up 15 percent.

In addition, dealers sold 48 Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicles, a 37 percent increase over the 35 CPOs sold for the same period last year.
