West Lebanon, NY: With almost all other local speedways putting the breaks on getting their season openers started because “…it’s too cold”, the Valley of Speed invites the true race fans to the legendary High Banks for a round of “warm-ups” to get the racing season started.

With gates opening at 1pm today, Saturday April 7, 2007, “we’re expecting a pretty decent crowd, despite the chilly weather” sighted Lyle Devore, General Manager of Lebanon Valley Speedway.

“We decided that as long as it isn’t raining, we’ll open the gates and give everyone a chance to get some racing in, or to just watch from the stands for free.” Devore added “With such a difficult year last year, with the rains, we are going to take everyone opportunity we can get to get the fans, and drivers, what they want, and that’s racing on the track.”

The details are about as easy as they get, put on your warm coats, hats and gloves, and head over to the Valley of Speed, today. Gates open at 1pm; warm-ups are from 3pm to 6pm. Grandstand admission is FREE, and pit admission is just $10.00.
