132 RACES INCLUDED ON BUSY 2007 WESTERN SLATE
This weekend's "The Copper on Dirt" USAC racing events at Manzanita Speedway in Phoenix, Ariz. are part of 132 races comprising the 2007 USAC Western racing schedules announced today.
Included are 42 USAC/CRA Sprint races, 28 Western Midget races, 42 Ford Focus Midget races and 20 pavement Sprint races.
The USAC/CRA Sprint Cars opened Feb. 3 at Perris, Calif. and the Western Midgets are part of the Phoenix program, while other series debut March 10 (Ford Focuses), April 14 (Pavement Sprints) and April 28 (Rocky Mountain Sprints).
New venues and traditional events dot the calendar, which continues until Nov. 22 when Irwindale Speedway concludes the 2007 racing action with its annual "Turkey Night Grand Prix" program.
