Fans Creating Super Bowl TV Commercials - VIDEO NEWS STORY

DETROIT - January 29, 2007: This year, television viewers will not just see the $2.5 million Super Bowl commercials developed by ad execs, they will have created them. During Super Bowl XLI, some of the 30-second spots were the devised through various ad contests in which college students and football fans were asked to participate. One such contest, the Chevy Super Bowl College Ad Challenge, asked students to come up with ideas featuring General Motors vehicles. The group of student’s whose idea is chosen will get to see their innovation come to life on Feb. 4 in front of an expected 90 million viewers. Other corporations who also employed viewers' ideas were Doritos and the NFL itself.
