Any Ford Tech People Out There?
I Have A Question

On the 2005 Ford Focus ZX5 with the standard DOHC engine, I notice that the engine is completly different from the 2002 Focus. What is the history on this new engine? It also has timing chains instead of a timing belt. Why? The air filter never (?) requires an element change. Is there a story behind that? The engine oil is also different. Needs a synthetic blend. I can understand that, since the engine has a 100,000 mile warrantee.
