NASCAR WCUP: Jeg's Pays Tribute to Dale Earnhardt

The flags were lowered to half-mast at the headquarters of Jeg's in Delaware, Ohio. The United States, Ohio and Team Jeg's flags are all standing tall in memory and tribute of the untimely death of motorsports legend Dale Earnhardt.

"We felt like it was the right thing to do and the least that the Jeg's organization could do in honor of the Dale Earnhardt," said Scott Woodruff (spokes person for Jeg's). "He was a great Champion and ambassador of all motorsports."

"Dale Earnhardt was a hero of mine," stated reigning NHRA Pro Stock Champion Jeg Coughlin Jr. "When my brother Mike, Woody, Jay Wells and I went through DEI after an RPM2Night interview. During the visit Steve Crisp (General Manager) told us that Dale was going to be disappointed that he didn't get a chance to sit down and talk us. Apparently when drivers come though his shop he likes to sit down and talk about racing with them. Although I never met Dale that tells me a lot about what kind of a person that he was when he wasn't wearing a helmet."

"When we were finishing our tour of DEI Steve Crisp (General Manager) told us how when one of their team cars wins a race a checkered flag goes on the flag pole that sits in front of the shop. He also said that when there is a tragedy in motorsports the flags fly at half mast," explained Pro Stock Truck driver Mike Coughlin. "I remember thinking to myself as we pulled out of the driveway-what a class act."
