It was reported today that a source deep inside Nintendo has revealed that the new system will indeed be called the Star Cube, a name which has been speculated about for months. This name, as well as more details about the next-generation system will be released to the public at Nintendo's annual Spaceworld Show on August 24.
It is not known why Nintendo chose this name to christen its new system, but gamers have had mixed reactions. "It sounds too juvenile," says one gamer, "It completely contrasts with Nintendo's trying to shake its "kiddie" image." Another gamer had a different opinion. "It's better than dolphin, but I still don't like it very much." Still another said, "I don't care what they call it, it's still going to be pretty cool."
Regardless of opinions on the name, Nintndo is sure to generate sales with any new system. New details will be posted around the 24th.
